On March 26, 2021, the launch of the INTERLACE project was held in Envigado with the participation of public sector actors, officials, Environmental Authorities and strategic allies such as the Alexander von Humboldt Institute and Empresas Públicas de Medellín. The purpose of this event was to invite institutions and citizens to join forces to strengthen strategies to improve connectivity, urban environmental quality, mitigate heat islands and encourage citizen participation, as well as to integrate the municipalities of the region in favor of ecological connectivity.
On April 29, the project was socialized with community leaders, civil society actors and other institutions to whom the objectives of the impact group and the network of cities were presented. In this space, 4 work tables were held to receive and share ideas on the challenges prioritized for the municipality, the processes that are already being developed in the municipality and other key actors that need to be integrated in the next activities.
